Counselling for Teenagers

I am experienced in providing counselling for young people as I am currently employed as a school counsellor in a local secondary school providing both short term and long term support.

In addition to my work with school I have also worked as a young persons support worker and with Cheshire police on their TWISTA scheme mentoring young people in different schools across Cheshire.

I hold a current DBS and am insured, I have also completed safeguarding training with Cheshire East Safeguarding Board.

If you are under 16 and want to come to me for counselling I will require consent from your parent or guardian before we start.

How can Counselling help?

Talking to someone who is not a relation or teacher can sometimes help teenagers to be honest with their feelings and enable them to take freely without fear of judgement. Talking to a counsellor can help with a wide range of issues including:-

  • Bullying
  • Exam Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Self Harm
  • Friendship Issues
  • Sex and Relationships
  • Home Life
  • basically anything that is causing you to worry!
Will it be confidential???

I will not share what is talked about in our sessions unless I feel that you are at serious risk of harm or I am required to by law.

What you choose to talk about is completely up to you and I will not pressure you to talk about anything that you don't want to.
